Observe Magazine: New Week, New Stories!

And this time with a brand new editor!

Excited to share that I've been invited to write for a special issue of Observe - The Odgers Berndtson Global Magazine that will have the Honorable Julia Gillard, Former Australian Prime Minister (and the country's first and only female PM) as Guest Editor!

In the forthcoming issue, I’ll be working on two pieces of reportage: one looking at the rise of femtech, that category of software/diagnostics/products/services that use technology primarily to focus on women's personal needs; and another probing the phenomena at play when it comes to the dearth of women in senior leadership roles in STEM.

To think a serendipitous discovery last year at an airport lounge in Hong Kong would expand and challenge me as a writer and journalist! It’s been an amazing year and a half writing for Observe under editor Jonathan Arnold, crafting data-driven and insight-rich pieces for Odgers Berndtson’s global audience of top-tier CEOs and business heads.

From my very first piece - exploring the nuts and bolts for a successful collaboration between academia and industry (where I interviewed the heads of innovation centers at MIT and Rolls Royce) - to my latest article, exploring the state of digital savvy in the boardroom (lots of room for improvement!), I’ve covered everything from the business case for food security to the impact of non-communicable disease (like diabetes and dementia) on the future of work.

Looking forward to the editorial oversight of Ms. Gillard, one of the most accomplished female premiers in recent history. Nothing like rounding out the year with yet another opportunity to up my journo game to a whole new level.
